Description

The Pathfinder, originally know as the Active Shooter was designed with LEO customer feedback requesting a breaching tomahawk that had a less aggressive look than our other tomahawks.  It's appearance resembles a traditional fireman's ax with a distal-tapered spike and blade geometry suitable for breaching, and also a wide range of cutting chores.  Think "truck hawk", the Pathfinder will fit in at camp, or it could help assist in an emergency.  It takes more than an aggressive look and black finish to make a tomahawk a tactical tomahawk. Tomahawks were "tactical" for hundreds of years in their original forms. They met the needs of the soldiers and frontiersman as both a tool and weapon on the battlefield and the outdoor conditions they encountered.

The Pathfinder is made from super-tough 80CRV2 tool steel with an overall length of just under 12", and it weighs in at a solid 24 ounces.  The head features a 3.125" cutting edge with a sharpened beard below for "rake and break" work.  The opposite side of the head has an aggressive 2.75" spike for the dirty chores.  Each Pathfinder has a tungsten-gray Cerakote finish that offers corrosion resistance as well as a  low visibility look.  The contoured G10 handles feature a diagonal texturing that offers a secure and comfortable grip without being overly aggressive.  The handles are mounted with Grade 5 Titanium hardware fasteners that are electro-anodized bronze.
